Sony and Guerrilla Games have released the first gameplay trailer for Killzone 3, make completely out of in-game footage, taken from the game’s fourth mission, called “Frozen Shores.” Killzone 3 will take you to dangerous new corners of the Helghast home planet, and reveal that its environments are far more diverse than ISA Command had previously believed.
Sony: PSPgo Wasn’t What Consumers Wanted

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s CEO has admitted that the PSPgo wasn’t exactly what consumers were looking for, and implied that it was a grand experiment aimed at determining what, in fact, they are looking for. Analysts in the industry predict that digital content would eventually replace physical media (like Blu-ray discs), and this was an attempt by Sony to see if it would work.
E3 2010: New Gran Turismo 5 Trailer

E3 2010 kicks of this week and Sony has already unveiled some of the biggest upcoming games ahead of the Press Conference, including Dead Nation, MotorStorm Apocalypse, inFAMOUS 2, Killzone 3, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, LittleBigPlanet 2, and more. Sony has also released a new trailer for Gran Turismo 5, which was shown on GameTrailers and Spike TV a few days ago.
PS3 3D Blu-ray Update Dated

Now that 3D gaming is available on the PlayStation 3, the next step for Sony is to enable 3D Blu-ray movie compatibility. As announced by Sony earlier, the PlayStation 3 will require another firmware update to enable 3D Blu-ray playback, which has now been scheduled for September.
Premium PSN Service Will Be Called PSN+

At E3 next week, Sony is set to officially announce the premium PlayStation Network service. The service will cost lest than £50 a year, and will be called PSN+. The service is said to feature a streaming music application that’s similar to Spotify which can run in the background while playing games, as well as the option to offer subscribers one free PSN title from a choice of “two to four” every month.
Majority of PS3 Games Will Be 3D in Future

Sony’s first set of 3D games – dubbed the ‘stereoscopic collection’ – is now available to download from the PlayStation Store, including titles like WipEout HD and Super Stardust HD. In a interview with CVG, UK PlayStation boss Ray Maguire confirmed that majority of first-party games will be 3D in the future.

Super Stardust HD at 720p in 3D

Super Stardust HD was originally at full HD resolution was it was released a few years ago, running at full 1080p resolution. With the 3D update, running the game in 3D mode only runs at 720p but at a whopping 120fps (60fps per eye). Luckily, full HD resolution is retained on a normal HDTV.
OPM Subscribers to get FirstPlay Special Offers

Official PlayStation Magazine subscribers will soon be offered discounts to purchase episodes of FirstPlay. The announcement of special offers was mode via the official FirstPlay twitter account, but details of special offers were not revealed. This should save consumers a bit of money, but ideally we would love it if FirstPlay was free to subscribers.
GTA IV Passes 17 Million Sales Mark

Grand Theft IV has been out for a good year and a half now and yet the title continues to sell well. To date, the title has sold more than 17 million units world wide on all platforms combined. Take-Two revealed the sales figure in thei Q2 earnings report earlier this week.
