Last month was a big one for PlayStation Network games! Not only did we see a ton of great new downloadable PS3 titles, but the launch of PS Vita saw PSN flooded with new digital offerings. Starting this month, a new top 10 list has been added to show what games topped the digital PS Vita charts.
EA has posted a new list on their website detailing server shutdowns. EA is removing servers to cut down costs, but they did note that it would affect less than 1% of their peak time online users. Some of these games may come as a shock to you, as they require online passes to use.
It’s been almost 10 years since the release of the original Ratchet & Clank on PlayStation 2. To celebrate the upcoming 10th anniversary of the series, Insomniac Games have announced the Ratchet & Clank Collection. This will contain Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal – all remastered by Idol Minds, working closely with the team at Insomniac Games.
A larger number of PSP titles have been given a price drop. The prices will vary from title to title, but you’ll be sure to find some as little as £7.99/€9.99, some of which are even Vita compatible (we’ve marked compatible games on the list below with a *).
Assassin’s Creed III has been in development for several years now by hundreds of some of the most talented developers on the planet. Today, Ubisoft are ready to unveil the very first official trailer for Assassin’s Creed III. The trailer offers a glimpse of the rich backdrop provided by the American Revolution, as well as sneaking in some details about the Native American protagonist: Connor.
Brandon Laurino, Executive Producer at CCP Games, has confirmed that DUST 514 will be free to play on PlayStation 3. DUST 514 is the first ever game built from the ground up as a free to play MMOFPS on console, exclusively on the PlayStation 3. The development of DUST and CCP’s engagement with Sony has been ongoing since before E3 2011 last year.
As you may recall, Sony postponed the last scheduled PlayStation Network maintenance session from last Thursday to a time to be announced. It is now determined that maintenance will take place tomorrow (Sunday, March 4). This significant PSN maintenance period is expected to start at just after noon Pacific and will last for several hours, until approximately 2am Pacific on Monday, March 5.
The team at Irrational Games is finally ready to reveal the release date for BioShock Infinite. The President and Creative Director Ken Levine has been talking about the game for years now and, like the rest of the Irrational Games team, he’s thrilled to finally share the game’s final release date.
