Sony has removed Everybody’s Tennis as well as MotorStorm Arctic Edge from the PlayStation Store after it was discovered that homebrew applications could be loaded onto the PlayStation Vita using an exploit. The homebrew loader, known as VHBL (Vita Half Byte Loader), uses a SAVEDATA exploit with these two games to load other homebrew applications.
This April, Sony are preparing some great offers for PlayStation Plus subscribers that will make you think twice about going outside. For starters, Sony have announced the free games coming in April to Plus: PSN Game Shank 2 and PS3 Full Game Shift 2 Unleashed. The very first table football game for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita has been announced. The game is packed with lots of features and game moves, including various kinds of tables (American style, European style…), customizations, ball types and trick shots to keep you entertained and experimenting for hours.
Assassin’s Creed Revelations has been available on Blu-ray for some time now, but if you haven’t given it a go yet, you will be able to download it from the PlayStation Store soon. Assassin’s Creed Revelations will be released on the PlayStation Store today, March 23rd on PSN with a 35% launch discount off the RRP of €69.99/£49.99 for the weekend (that works out at €44.99/£36.99 with the discount).
The LittleBigPlanet franchise has enjoyed success of the past few years, ever since the first title launched on the PS3. You already know about the fantastic LBP work that Tarsier Studios and Double Eleven Studios are doing on LittleBigPlanet for PS Vita, and now Sony have announced a new LBP collaboration with the hugely talented team at United Front Games who will be leading a new project called LittleBigPlanet Karting.
PlayStation Plus
Last month was a big one for PlayStation Network games! Not only did we see a ton of great new downloadable PS3 titles, but the launch of PS Vita saw PSN flooded with new digital offerings. Starting this month, a new top 10 list has been added to show what games topped the digital PS Vita charts.
EA has posted a new list on their website detailing server shutdowns. EA is removing servers to cut down costs, but they did note that it would affect less than 1% of their peak time online users. Some of these games may come as a shock to you, as they require online passes to use.
