EU PlayStation Store Update for October 10th 2012

New PlayStation Plus content is available on the European PlayStation Store this week, which includes Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition and Bulletstorm for free. There is also a plethora of games available to download this week, with 8 new games added to the store, as the release of the Assassin’s Creed Collection. New games include Dishonored, Joe Danger 2: The Movie and Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise.

007 Legends Opening Sequence

Activision have released the opening sequence for the forthcoming James Bond game, 007 Legends, featuring the usual men in suits and silhouettes of beautiful women. The game releases on the PS3 and other platforms from next week. In North America, the game will be available from October 16th, and from October 19th in Europe.

Gaikai Answers Questions Regarding Sony Acquisition

Gaikai has updated its Q&A page to answer questions over the recent Sony acquisition, answering questions that many gamers may have. Gaikai reveals that the team is “working on a number of exciting initiatives.” When asked about Gaikai on Sony platforms, the company said it “cannot share any details at this point in time.”

2K Games and Gearbox Software have released new DLC for Borderlands 2 a week ahead of schedule. The fifth character class in the Mechromancer DLC was released in North America yesterday, and will be released in Europe today. The DLC was originally scheduled for release next week, on October 16th 2012.

Dutch developer Sparpweed has revealed that cooperative puzzle-platformer  ibb and obb is coming to the PlayStation Network next spring. The gameplay revolves around a world with two directions of gravity, but even more so it’s about the interaction between the players. All elements in the game are designed for two, ranging from the way you solve puzzles to handling enemies.

SCEA has released the chart of top selling PSN titles for September 2012. The top selling PS3 title was The Walking Dead – Episode 3: Long Road Ahead, followed by Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. On the PS Vita, the top selling title was LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, despite the game being released at the end of the month.

8-bit open-world title Retro City Rampage releases on to the PlayStation Network later today in North America for both the PS3 and PS Vita. The game will be cross-buy and cross-save compatible, so you’ll get both versions of the game for the price of one. Retro City Rampage has more than 60 Story missions that span driving, stealth, platforming, shooting, swimming, and questing.

Puppeteer is Over 15 Hours Long

Speaking to the PlayStation.Blog, Puppeteer creator Gavin Moore has revealed that the game will take at least 15 hours to complete, and that’s if you actually charge through the game without finding any of the secret stuff. The game follows a boy called Kutaro enslaved by the evil Moon Bear King and transformed into a puppet. His head is then tossed off into a cellar and Kutaro must use other objects to give himself a head.
