After endless promotions, trailers and advertising by Sony, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has failed to make a dent in the UK charts. The title entered the chart at position 38 after the first week of sales, way behind titles like Hitman Absolution, Assassin’s Creed III and LEGO Lord of the Rings. In fact, LEGO Lord of the Rings was the highest ranking new title at position 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Sells 11 Million Copies in First Week

The first week’s numbers for Call of Duty: Black Ops II are in and the news is as expected. The game has sold over 11 million units across the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in it’s first week on sale. In comparison, the game outsold the previous version by around 550,000 units, which sold over 10.5 million units in its first week.

EU PlayStation Store Update for November 21st 2012

Plenty of new PS3 and PS Vita games are available to download form the European PlayStation Store this week, including LEGO Lord Of The Rings and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. PlayStation Plus is now also available on the PS Vita following the release of Firmware 2.00, which means PS Vita games have been added to the Instant Game Collection this week too.

US PlayStation Store Update for November 20th 2012

The North American PlayStation Store has received a massive update this week, consisting of lots of new PS3 and PSN titles, DLC and other content. New games have been added to the Instant Game Collection this week too, as the PS Vita gets PlayStation Plus compatibility. Vita owners can download six titles for the console completely free if they have a PlayStation Plus subscription.
Resistance Collection Coming to PS3 in December

With Christmas just around the corner, Sony and Insomniac Games have revealed that the Resistance Collection will be coming to the PS3 in North America next month. Retailing for $39.99, the collection will include all three Resistance games released on the PS3, plus all the DLC content to go along with it.
Jetpack Joyride Available on PSP, PS Vita, and PS3 in North America

Free-to-play iOS / Android title Jetpack Joyride has launched in North America this week, available on all three of Sony’s platforms. The game has been downloaded over 35 million times on mobile devices, but the game costs a premium on Sony’s consoles, costing $3.99 instead of being free like on iOS and Android.
PSN Download Sizes for All-Stars Battle Royale Revealed

If you are planning to download the digital versions of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, you’ll be happy to know that the download sizes of each of the versions have been revealed ahead of the game’s release. The PS3 version of the game will take up close to 6 GB of space on your hard drive, while the PS Vita version is less than a third of that.
Square Enix Removed Online Pass for Hitman: Absolution

In a rare move for publishers, Square Enix has removed the requirement of having a valid online pass for Hitman: Absolution. Most publishers would hinder used game sales by requiring anyone with a second hand copy to have a valid online pass, or purchase one in order to make full use of the game.
