Following the release of the ultimate PS4 FAQ yesterday, a lot of users were unhappy to find that some commonly used PS3 functionality would be missing from the PS4, including MP3 and Audio CD playback and media streaming. The response from users has not fallen on deaf ears, with Sony’s President of Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, saying that the feedback will be passed onto the PS4 development team.
First Heavenly Sword Movie Trailer Released

The first trailer for the CG animated film based on the PS3 game, Heavenly Sword, has been released. The Heavenly Sword film is slated to be released digitally worldwide, as well as theatrically in select global markets, in Spring 2014, starring Anna Torv, Alfred Molina, and Thomas Jane.
Awesomenauts: Assemble Confirmed as PS4 Launch Title

Ronimo Games has announced that Awesomenauts: Assemble will be a PS4 launch title, releasing in North America on November 15th. The game will be available on the PlayStation Store for just $9.99. The game was first launched on the PS3 last year, and has since received new updates including new characters, game modes and refinements.
Earth Defense Force 2025 Coming to PS3 in February 2014

The sequel to Earth Defense Force 2017, Earth Defense Force 2025, has been confirmed for release on the PS3 in February 2014 in North America and Europe. In addition to a release window, the game’s pre-order incentives have also been revealed. Four weapon packs will be available when pre-ordering the game or by purchasing the DLC.
EU PlayStation Store Update for October 30th 2013

Lots of new PS3 games have been added to the PlayStation Store in Europe this week, including Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Angry Birds Star Wars and Battlefield 4. In total, 12 new PS3 titles have been added along with 4 new PS Vita titles.
Call Of Duty: Ghosts Resolution Confirmed at 1080p on PS4

Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin has confirmed, via the twitlonger service, that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be running at a higher resolution on PS4 than on the Xbox One. The PS4 version will run at 1080p resolution natively, while the Xbox One version will be upscaled to 1080p from a 720p resolution.

Sony has posted a massive question-and-answer section on the PlayStation.Blog (also included below), answering many questions on the PS4. The FAQ clarifies that a number of facts, including no support for audio CDs, and no support for external hard drives to expand storage.

Following news on the minimum hard disk space needed by PS4 games, it turns out that the space isn’t needed for actual data, but for caching of game files. The data is installed and deleted in the background, so you won’t have to sit through long installations or lose valuable hard drive space.
US PlayStation Store Update for October 29th 2013

Lots of new games are available on the North American PlayStation Store this week, including the newest game in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag; and Battlefield 4. A comparison video has been released by DigitalFoundry, comparing the PS4 and Xbox One version of upcoming title Battlefield 4. The video confirms that the PS4 version of he game runs at a resolution of 1600×900, while the Xbox One version is just 1280×720.
