The first episode of FirstPlay will be available to download next week from the PlayStation Store. The final phase of the beta was recently announced and will be starting sometime this week, prior to the general public release. New episodes will be released weekly costing 99p each. However, gamers can purchase three-month subscriptions for £8.99, consisting of 13 episodes per quarter.

Hotz: “Don’t Update” to Firmware 3.21
George Hotz, responsible for hacking the PS3 and causing the removal of the OtherOS functionality on the PS3 is recommending that user do not update to Firmware 3.21. Why not? Hots is looking to release a custom firmware once the new update is released to retain the OtherOS option for those that want it.
The Incredibles Come to LittleBigPlanet

There is no longer any reason to be scared should the cities of LittleBigPlanet become threatened by an evil super villain, for The Incredibles will be here to save us all. The Incredibles Costume Kit inspired by the Disney/Pixar animated feature, The Incredibles features nine costumes: all of The Incredibles family (including a “Retro” Mr. Incredible sporting his classic blue costume), their allies Frozone and Edna Mode, and their arch nemesis, Syndrome.
Removal of OtherOS is a Backwards Move by Sony
While Sony has been doing a good job of keeping the PS3 up-to-date with new firmware updates and features, today’s announcement of Firmware v3.21 is a backwards move by Sony. The 3.21 firmware update will remove the OtherOS feature from the older PS3 models over “security concerns,” mainly due to the recent exploit discovered by hacker George Hotz. However, this isn’t the first time Sony has removed functionality from the PS3.
PSP Firmware 6.20 / PSPgo Exploit Released
A new exploit has been released to the public, making use of a savegame exploit on the Patapon 2 demo. The exploit works on all firmware versions up to and including firmware 6.20 and on all PSP models, including the PSPgo. According to the dev, the hack was discovered because of a loophole in the Patapon 2 demo with the help of N00b81, m0skit0 and wololo. The dev also promises an e-loader is already in the works so stay tuned.
PS3 Firmware 3.21 Announced
The latest firmware for the PS3 has been announced by Sony, confirming the rumors about the removal of the OtherOS functionality. The new firmware update will bring the system software version to v3.21 and will be available to download this Thursday (April 1st 2010). After updating, the Linux partition on your hard drive will be inaccessible so be sure to backup any data.
Toshiba Announces 750GB PS3 Compatible Hard Drive
Toshiba has announced a new 2.5″ SATA hard drives compatible with the PS3 (among other devices). The MK7559GSXP (750GB/pictured) will be available to purchase soon and will seriously boost your PS3 storage capacity. The 750GB model is the world’s most capacious 2.5-inch/9.5mm high HDD.
God of War III Patched v1.01 Released
God of War III has received a software update, bringing the game to version v1.01. Up on booting up the game, you will be prompted to install a small 5MB update, and mainly addresses a issue with the wireless controller. A few glitches and a trophy hack have been discovered in the title since it was launched on March 16th 2010, so presumably the patch also addresses these.
Confirmed: European PlayStation Store Update Day Changing
According to rumors over the past few days, it seems like the day of the week on which the PlayStation Store is updated in Europe is changing. Since the PlayStation Store was first introduced in 2006 in Firmware version 1.10, store updates have always been on a Thursday (except during holiday periods). From May 5th, the day will be changing to Wednesdays instead.
