Back in December, SCEE announced an official PlayStation App for iPhone and Android handsets. Today, that application is now available to download from the Apple App Store and Android Market. The app is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch with OS 4 and above, and most Android handsets with a minimum of OS 1.6.
Talks about the rumored PlayStation Phone and Nintendo’s new 3DS console are dominating the news recently. This week, more details has come into light on the supposed ‘Xperia Play’ phone from Sony Ericsson. Chinese website IT168 states that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU, along with what’s likely to be a 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 CPU.
LittleBigPlanet 2 hits shelves next week, exclusive to the PlayStation 3. The first set of reviews have been released this week along with a brand new trailer of the game. Those lucky enough to be at CES 2011 today were treated to a special extended 3D trailer of Naughty Dog’s latest installment: Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The trailer is pretty similar to the VGA trailer revealed last month, but with a few extra scenes added towards the end.

Videos doing the rounds today show an ISO loader running on the previously hack-proof PSPgo. Sony’s battel with piracy on the PSP is well known, and the PSPgo was an attempt to counter the attempts.
The PlayStation Network community officially surpassed the 50 million mark last year, but a new milestone was reached this year. At CES 2011, Sony announced that the PSN has over 60 million users now using the service, up from 38 million users from last year.
