As part of North America’s weekly PlayStation Store update later today, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention for the PS Vita. The game will be added to the Instant Game Collection, along with discounts to a number of Square-Enix and THQ titles.

rain Gets First Gameplay Trailer

The first gameplay trailer for rain has been released, since the game was first announced at Gamescom last year. The story of rain is the enchanting tale of a boy who chases after a girl with an invisible silhouette. After discovering that the girl is being hunted by ghostly creatures, he embarks on his own journey into the mysterious world of rain to save her and discovers he has also become invisible.
inFamous: Second Son Expected to be PS4 Launch Title

The resumé of a graphics programmer at Sucker Punch Productions has revealed that inFamous: Second Son will be PS4 launch title. However, since Sucker Punch has not confirmed (or denied) the news, it’s safe to classify this as a rumour for now. The resumé has since been altered to remove the references to dates but not before a screen grab was taken (below).
Okami HD, The Cave and More Coming to PlayStation Plus in Europe in April 2013

If you though March was a big month for PlayStation Plus, wait till you see what Sony has in store for April 2013. Sony will be adding four new titles to the Instant Game Collection in Europe next month – four for the PS3 and two for the PS Vita (one cross-buy title). The five games will be added to through the month, starting with the first update on April 3rd 2013.
Tomb Raider Glitch Makes Lara Croft Look Topless

A glitch in Tomb Raider has been discovered that makes Lara Croft’s tank top look see-through. The glitch was discovered by Recostar from S3DGamerZone while playing the game in 3D on the PC. The video (see below) shows the glitch in action and a somewhat exposed Lara too. You can also read the gamer’s account of the glitch below.
Final Fantasy X-2 HD will be Included with FFX HD

Japanese games magazine Jump has confirmed that Final Fantasy X HD on the PS3 will also come with Final Fantasy X-2 HD. It looks like Square-Enix had enough time to get both games remade for the PS3 and PS Vita. On the PS Vita, however, both games will be available for purchase separately.
Sony Files New Patent for Adding Trophy Support to Games

Sony are experimenting with new techniques to add trophy support to games lacking the feature, according to a new patent filing. The new technique could allow Sony to add trophy support to legacy games, without modifying the game code, but instead by detecting disk access to parts of the game.
PS3 Firmware 4.40 Now Available

A new PS3 firmware update was released this morning, updating the console to version v4.40. The minor update improves system stability during the use of come features but also adds support for Sony’s RC-S380 Contactless IC Card Reader. It’s unclear how the NFC reader will be used with the console, but it could be related to the recent Sony patent filing.
The Cave and Tekken 6 Coming to PlayStation Plus Today

North America will be getting two new additions to the Instant Game Collection later today, as part of the weekly PlayStation Store update. The Cave (PS3) and Tekken 6 (PSP, compatible with PS Vita) will be added to the Instant Game Collection, in addition to discounts on two other games.
PlayStation Plus Getting Exclusive Defiance Beta

PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting exclusive access to Trion Worlds’s exciting new IP, Defiance. Defiance is a ground-breaking entertainment experience which connects the TV world to a multi-platform, multiplayer online video game. The beta will be available between Friday, March 22nd 2013 until Monday, March 25th 2013, exclusive to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
