The PlayStation Wireless Stereo Headset is now available at retailers in North America. The headset was first announced back in May and features virtual 7.1 surround sound. The sequel to Final Fantasy XIII was announced back in January of this year with a simple release window of Winter 2011. Gaming news site Andriasang reports that the Final Fantasy XIII-2 director has hinted during a Q&A session held over the weekend that the role playing game’s final release date will be announced by Square Enix during this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
The third update for inFamous 2 UGC is now available to download. The update makes the bosses placable characters in the UGC mode, allowing them to be allies, fight each other or protect Cole. The second change in this update is Mission Linking, allowing creators to create a series of missions easily.
The new advertising campaign for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception kicked off last night in North America during the 2011 NFL Kickoff game tonight between the Packers and Saints. The TV Spot was created from only in-game footage – check it out below.
Sony has confirmed that their press conference at the 2011 Tokyo Games Show will be held on September 14th 2011, but a time has yet to be confirmed. Sony’s keynote speech will be a day after that of Nintendo’s, and its expected that the PlayStation Vita will headline the event.

The remastered ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection launch on September 27th, and as a special treat the final boxart and inside packaging for the collection has been revealed. In addition to full 1080p HD, stereoscopic 3D support, and 7.1 surround sound, this re-release contains a ton of exclusive bonus footage and behind-the-scenes content.
