Capcom has shipped a “record breaking” 4.5 million copies of horror title Resident Evil 6 worldwide. The figure is a new company record according to Capcom, which shipped 4.4 million copies of Resident Evil 5 back in 2009. The company is expecting the game to sell 7 million copies by the end March 31st, 3012.

SCEE have started to publish a monthly chart of the top downloaded content from the PlayStation Store across PAL regions – similar to the Top 10 chart published by SCEA. In September, the top downloaded PSN title was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, while FIFA 13, was the top downloaded PS3 title.
Mass Effect 3 Gets Massive Patch Today

Mass Effect 3 is getting patched today, Producer Michael Gamble has tweeted. The patch, one of the biggest patched by the developers, has been in development for the last few months and sets the game up for future DLC, as well as the usual manner of bug fixes, tweaks and more.
Assassin’s Creed III Will Have DLC Season Pass

Ubisoft have revealed that Assassin’s Creed III will offer a Season Pass, granting gamers access to all five DLC packs at a discounted price. The five DLC packs will be released over a six month window, with the first pack titled “The Tyranny of King Washington” – a single-player campaign.
EU PlayStation Store Update for October 3rd 2012

Instant Game Collections Boosts PlayStation Plus Satisfaction Levels

Speaking to VentureBeat, Jack Buser, PlayStation’s senior director of digital platforms, has said that satisfaction levels of PlayStation Plus subscribers has risen from 50% pre-E3 2012 to almost 100%, mainly due to the recent Instant Game Collections. During the week of E3, PlayStation Plus saw a two-fold increase in new memberships too.
US PlayStation Store Update for October 2nd 2012

This week both NBA 2K13 and Resident Evil 6 are available to download on the PlayStation Store in North America, while new games have been added to the pre-order list. Sonic Adventure 2 and NiGHTS Into Dreams are also available to download today. For PS Vita owners, New Little King’s Story is now available for download, along with a bunch of newly compatible PSone classics.
The Walking Dead: Episode 4 Trailer Released

The Walking Dead: Episode 4 is expected to arrive this month, though a exact release date hasn’t been revealed yet. Telltale have released the first trailer from the fourth episode, which is designed to tee up the big season finale that follows. Episode 4 also introduces some new characters to shake things up a bit.
EU PlayStation Plus Update for October 2012

Starting later today, new content beings to roll out for PlayStation Plus subscribers, starting with the release of Sega’s Hell Yeah! Wrath of Dead Rabbit. The following week, Plus subscribers can look forward to EA’s Bulletstorm. Both titles will be added to the Instant Game Collection, allowing subscribers to download the titles for free.
