Sony has released a new firmware update for the PS5 today, updating the system software to v26.01-12.70.00. This is the second update in as many weeks, with the first update of 2026 adding a few new features.
This update is mainly a performance and stability update, likely fixing recent jailbreaks and exploits discovered on the console. You can find the official release notes below.
