Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will also come with every piece of content released so far, along with the new Iki Island, which features tons of new content, including new environments; armour, minigames; techniques; enemy types; and more.

The PS5-exclusive features include:

  • Japanese lip sync thanks to the console’s ability to render cinematics in real time
  • DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers
  • 3D audio
  • drastically improved load times
  • 4K resolution options
  • targeted framerate of 60fps

Players will be able to transfer save data from PS4 to PS5. For new players, Iki Island becomes available at the beginning of Act 2. Alongside the release of the Director’s Cut, a free update will be available with new photo mode updates, new accessibility options for controller mapping, and the option to enable a target lock-on during combat.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will launch on 20th August for $69.99 USD on PS5 and $59.99 USD on PS4.

If you own Ghost of Tsushima on PS4, you can upgrade to the Director’s Cut on PS4 fo $19.99. Those who own the Director’s Cut on PS4 can then upgrade to PS5 for $9.99 – note that this is not a free upgrade. You can also upgrade directly to the Director’s Cut on PS5 for $29.99.
