Another delay has hit Deathloop on the PS5, further delaying the game. The game was originally scheduled to be a launch window title for the PS5, expected to be release in Holiday 2020, and then delayed to Q2 2021. It now turns out that Q2 isn’t achievable either, and the game has been delayed to September 2021.
A statement was posted to twitter earlier today confirming the delay. Deathloop is a timed console exclusive on the PS5, and will now be releasing on 14th September 2021. The second delay again seems to be attributed to COVID-19, with the statement referring to “ensuring the health and safety of everyone at Arkane”.
The game was expected to release on the PS5 and PC on 20th May 2021, after the initial delay last year.
