Santa Monica Studio is today releasing a new patch for God of War (2018) that will add a new Enhanced Performance Mode for the PS5. The mode will replace the PS4 Pro graphic options with a new default setting that offers the best of both performance and resolution.
On the PS4 Pro version of God of War, you have a choice between two graphics modes: one that favors performance and one that favors resolution. The new mode will combine both options to provide:
- Syncs to 60 FPS
- 4K Checkerboard Resolution
- 2160p
The patch will also allow players to revert to the original PS4 ‘Favor Resolution’ video graphics mode at any time by selecting Original Performance Experience, which will offer 4K Checkerboard Resolution synced to 30 FPS.
God of War is part of the PlayStation Plus Collection, which PS5 owners can download and play the game for free as part of their PlayStation Plus subscription.
