An update to the PS3 system software was released on 31st March 2020 – over 3 years after the last firmware update for the console. The update is a minor one, improving the performance of the system.
In order to download the latest firmware update, you will need a minimum 200MB of free space on either the PS3 Hard Disk Drive or external USB drive.
