Another new firmware update for the PS4 is now available to download, updating the console to v6.71. Once again, this is a minor update to the PS4, which simply improves system performance. It’s also currently optional to install.
However, you may need to update your console if a game you’re trying to play required the latest version. The update doesn’t add any new functionality to the system, and is intended to improve stability.
