According to a user on NeoGAF, who works at “a very large retailer,” the rumoured launch date for the PS4 is late October. The user neglected to mention which retailer they work for, but the release date was mentioned in an “internal product release schedule from head office.”
The rumour pegs the PS4’s release date as October 21st 2013. If the rumour turns out to be true, it means Sony has a slight head start over Microsoft’s Xbox One console, which is scheduled for launch in Late November.
We’ll hopefully learn the PS4’s official release date at Gamescom next week in Germany. But until then, take this date with a grain of salt.
