New Details for Tales of Xillia Emerge

October 5th, 2012 / Niraj Shah / News

Originally launched in Japan over a year ago, the sequel to Tales of Graces F, Tales of Xillia, will be released exclusively on the PS3 in 2013. In an interview with the PlayStation.Blog, producer Hideo Baba revealed new details about the game. Tales of Xillia is the 13th title in the long-running series, and brings a number of significant new innovations for the much-loved franchise.

The battle system is unique and improved over the previous titles.  There are two main characters in the game – if you play through the story from both points of view it will take you more than 100 hours to finish.

The game is currently being localised to English before the game is released in the West. The previous title, Tales of Graces F, took 18 months from the Japanese release to make it to Europe, so hopefully the wait for Tales of Xillia is shorter.
