With the sudden closure of Sony’s Liverpool studio, there are reports that two PlayStation 4 launch titles have been cancelled. The developers at Studio Liverpool were apparently working on WipEout and an unnamed stealth game for the PS4.
According to the report, WipEout for the PS4 has been in development for the last 12-18 months. As mentioned by Sony, developers are trying to be relocated to other parts of the business, so the development of these two titles may be picked up by another studio.
Hopefully, we won’t see Studio Liverpool’s efforts to go waste on these two titles and Sony reassigns the development elsewhere.
