At the E3 2011 Press Conference, Sony has announced an official 3D display as part of the PlayStation range. To go along with the new 3D display, Sony is also releasing a official pair of 3D glasses compatible with a number of 3D TVs. One pair of the glasses will come with the Official 3D display.
The 24″ LCD Display with full HD 1080p 3D, 3D glasses and a copy of Resistance 3 will retail for $499, whilst separate pairs of glasses will retail at $69.99. Sony is promoting 3D heavily, and this entry level equipment will make it more affordable to get your PS3 100% 3D compatible.
Available at retailers nationwide starting this fall, the 3D Display is uniquely enhanced for gaming with a special two-player feature, offering best-in-class visuals in both 2D and 3D. The 3D Display utilizes an exclusive feature that optimizes two-player mode by delivering individual full HD screens, giving each person their own full screen view of the action on the same display while playing co-op or head-to-head.
