I haven’t played AvP yet but it does look good. Winning the costume pack will convince me to rent the title at least!
I’ve played the demo for AvP and thought that it was worth getting. The way you play it is very unique compared to other shooters. I’ve seen the costumes in home and they look pretty good. I was lucky enough to have seen most of the costumes in one day on a few people walking around recently.

AVP is great i havnt played the new 1 but the old one 2 im most fond with playing as an alien starting out as a face hugger then finding a nice body to crawl into i hope they have something like that in the new 1 with a bit more gore =D i plan to pick it up when i can afford it =)

I’m a huge fan of AvP [particularly the predator]. Still got my graphic novels from back in the days [and even used to own a predator costume!!! lol]. Though I was heavily traumatised by the attempts of bringing the franchise to cinema!! The games are a lot better thank God!
To be honest I’ve only played the demo for this game so far but what i’ve played has got me interested in the game. Its a got a few very unique features to say the least and was a good change of pace from the normal shooter. I’ve seen the costumes in home and was very interested in them. I do plan to get the game someday soon.

I am waiting to play this game. I am from Nepal where ps3 games available on after 3/4 months from release in uk. I liked the review. I loved both the AVP movies.
AVP is the best idea to represent the differences between the hunter and the hunted with perfect contextual changes to set both points of view. The tactics and responses from each part are equally formidable because it drags the fantasy to cool levels in our minds. One of the best movies and games ever for personal experience.
My reviews on Avp… To be honest it is an excellent game. The remake of this follows the original pC game feelings to a T. The sounds and graphics run beautifully, and you literally feel as though you are part of AVp Universe.
Although, as most people have found out, the multiPlayer issues of alien vs predator, on many of the systems, have had a little issue. Speaking specifically of the ranked matches. Although unlocking th skins holds no potential for different types of playing, but never the less it is still a decent addition to the multiplayer games. I am confident that Rebellion and Sony will work out this issue very soon.
As I was saying, the feel you get while playing the marines, predators, or aliens is above the call of duty. You literally feel like you take on the role of your character, and have to act or “hunt,” accordingly. Overall, I believe its a fantastic game, and I know many of you will not agree with me, but never the less this is my opinion. I hope very much that there will be a sequel, and a possible ps home game launch area in the future.
