Heavy Rain Will Require HDD Install

February 1st, 2010 / Niraj Shah / News

If you are looking to get Heavy Rain when it comes out later this money, start preparing your hard drive now. Heavy Rain will require a hard drive install of at least 4GB of data before you can play the game, which will take a few minutes of your time. While the game data is installed, you can pass the time by following the the on-screen instructions on how to make your own Swan Origami.

It takes twelve steps to make the Swan, but the time will go by pretty fast. It’s becoming quite common for games to require some installation of game data – this is essentially to ensure smooth and short loading times. It maybe time to delete some of those old demos or remove install data of games you no longer play.

Hate doing the “install” for games. You buy a new game, your un home, you open the wrapper. You turn on your playstation, pop the disc in, getting ready to play; then, you have to install, which takes forever, and ussually download a patch or too. So annoying!

@Aaron Goldstein Well if you have downloaded a bunch of demos and movies, and installed game data for other games the 160gb can get used up pretty easily.
