CES 2010: 3D Q&A

3D is undoubtedly the biggest buzzword at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. 3D movies and games are coming to the PS3 this year, but how exactly is that going to work for current PS3 owners? SCEA Director of Hardware Marketing John Koller has the answers in the video below.

    Personally, i think this is a pretty good evolutionary step for TVs, though i’ve not experienced 3D TV playback – I will be keeping an eye or two out for a local electronic store demo of these sets to see what the fuss is about. Alot depends on the glasses too, would they be comfy enough for extended play periods is the question…

    I didn’t know glasses had to be worn? I thought that these ever so special 3D tvs were being made so special glasses were not required? If thats the case that would be awesome! If we need glasses.. thats a bit of a downer.. they should make virtual reality style visors (star trek all the way!) so you dont lose the 3d effect when something goes off screen ( that happens in the movies 🙁 ) if theres visors it will just look like its going past you.

    @ice2kewl , true for what you say , the only problem is that most people can’t afford new things that comes up fast , need to see the prices first !
