Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition Details and Screenshots

November 20th, 2009 / Niraj Shah / News
3

When Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition is released next year along with the Motion Controller, Capcom will be releasing two costumes pack to go along with it. One of them gives Chris the warrior outfit from the PC version and Sheva a sexy folklore dress. In Europe and North America, Alternative Edition will be released in four parts, rather than one big download.

Alternative Edition Packs:

  • Lost in Nightmares – the extra episode in Spencer’s mansion, extra figures, and two Mercenaries Reunion characters.
  • Costume Pack 1 – two costumes, two Mercenaries Reunion characters, and extra figures.
  • An unannounced episode, extra figures, and two Mercenaries Reunion characters.
  • Costume Pack 2 – two more costumes, two Mercenaries Reunion characters, and extra figures.

Surprisingly, the motion controller functionality is not mentioned in the packs. This could mean that it will be added as a patch.

Why would I care about dlc costumes? New levels missions puzzles: yes.

I hate costumes too – don’t see the point of it. New gameplay elements are much better.
