The PlayStation 3 received trophy support over a year ago, bring more replay value to games and also rewarding gamers by completing special feats. We think trophies were a great addition to PS3 games, and its about time it comes to the PSP. More often than not, we find ourselves playing games purely for the trophies, and we’re not alone. There are many trophy whores out there.
Bringing trophy support to the PSP would not only make the portable console more popular, it would also increase game sales. It is also a great way to offer games in-game rewards for their gameplay skills. A gamer should easily be able to sync their trophies to the PlayStation Network much like the PS3.
Adding the gamer card and compare feature in addition to Trophies would also benefit mobile gamers. I always like comparing my trophies with those of my friends. It adds a indirect competitive element to games and also shows off your gaming skills.
Unfortunately, for the time being, the PSP will not be getting any trophy support.
Sony already made a statement about this , and that is because of piracy games , there ain’t any trophy support , i don’t think we’ll ever see that , unless some nerd makes out a trophy system for the psp who knows 🙂
