XTREME PSP Mag i037 delayed

August 4th, 2008 / XTREME PSP / News
24

As you are aware, the PSP scene has really died down in the last few months. We less and less things for us to report on, we have decided to delay the next issue of the XTREME PSP Magazine until we have enough content to report on. There is plenty of PlayStation 3 content for us to report on but as the magazine is mainly a PSP mag, we want to ensure there is enough PSP content covered for readers who don’t own a PS3.

We don’t have a ETA on when the next issue will be out but we will keep you posted on our website. As for PSP M4M Mag, it’s still on schedule for launch later this month. We’ve got great content in the upcoming issue including the Red Bull Air Race London and the British International Motor Show.

We didn’t say there was no PSP content, we said there was a lack of PSP content. We’ve already reviewed Hot Shot Golf/Everybody’s Golf 2 in issue 35. If you want to help, feel free to contact us via the contact form.

Would you like to make another mag and talk about homebrew/app/ utilities softwares for psp?
How about all the hecking or non-hecking info like how poeple mod there psp , how to make the most out of our psp with screenshots?
Games reviws can be found everywhere on internet, but news and infos are diff…
Informational and news magazine will keep people coming back and look for more, dont u think? no matter new or old, gather the fun tips.
    Goodluck

I Like The Mag, But I Feel That We Do Need More News, Maybe Even Secrets that You Can Find In Games, Or Even Rankings Which List The Top Ten Homebrew Games/Worst Games For The Psp

Is There anyway To Rip A UMD I Own To The Computer Without Homebrew? And If So Is There Anyway I Can Play That Game On My Psp Again By Putting The Code On The Game. I Have v.3.80

    Amazing, so many comments.

You will need custom firmware on your PSP and use it to rip the game since the disks can’t be read on your PC.

In the future it may be possible that if you remove the disk from the games shell and shove it in a PC you could rip it, but from the looks of things that is a fair while off.

As for injecting you own code into a game, UMDGen is well known for compressing and decompressing PSP ISO’s as well as being used to rip things out and add some things in (nothing extensive, but relinking of videos and such).

Finally, without custom firmware you will not be able to run said ISO after modification. So in this case downloading a copy of the game is probably worthless to you.

As for the homebrew aspects, I really wish others would be more interested in writing reviews and such as I continue to either find myself out of time or out of energy.

Still, seems I now need to plan on buying another spare battery anyway so maybe I will take some more initiative and get back to doing a few reviews.

One thing I forgot, a top 10 of homebrew is rather difficult as it would need an entire issue dedicated to the different types of homebrew, and different genres of games for it.

Still, this does have me thinking about my Motion Kit.

If You’re Filling Up The Mag With A Top Ten of Games, Homebrew, Magazines, Comics, Psp Apps etc. Then Why Don’t You Just Review Movie, Music And Go For All the Media?
