Some great announcement were made including several new exclusive games including Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, ModNation Racers, Final Fantasy XIV and more. Sony also showed-off their own version of the Wiimote, only it’s way better and is expected in 2010. Sony has some great things planned for the PlayStation 3 and PSP this year and through out next. Looking forward to the VidZone service from Sony? GameSpot had the chance to try out the new service before general release (see below). In short, the service will only support SD content and will only allow you to stream content (you won’t be able to save any videos to the hard drive). The service will be free and will be supported through advertising. You will find various advertising banners throughout the application. You will be able to launch the VidZone service directly from the XMB under the [Music] menu.

In Critter Crunch, players assume the role of Biggs, a friendly, furry forest dweller with an unending hunger for tasty critters. Using his long tongue, Biggs must set the food chain in motion by launching smaller critters into the waiting mouths of larger ones, clearing the screen and filling his belly.
The PlayStation Network will be taken offline on Tuesday, April 21 for some essential maintenance according to Community Team Leader MusterBuster over at the Official EU PlayStation Forums. The maintenance will begin at 7:00 AM (GMT +1) during which time the entire network will be unavailable. The maintenance time frame was not mentioned so it could take several hours before the network is back online.
