Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection is now available to download exclusively from the PlayStation store. The collection features both Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles and is available for just €26.99 / £21.99. Both titles have been re-mastered with HD graphics and PS Move compatibility so that you can immerse yourself fully in the intense, shooty world of Resident Evil.
Despite Sony cancelling the PlayStation Network maintenance on Wednesday, the network still went offline unexpectedly last night, leaving many gamers frustrated. It also interfered with our LittleBigPlanet Beta Give-Away last night too. It seems that only some users experienced the issues, and it looks like the issues are still there this morning.
The new BBC Sports App for the PlayStation 3 is now available to download from the PlayStation Network, Sony have said. The app is currently in the public beta stage, but can be downloaded for free. The app is focused on the Olympics, but will offer content from Wimbledon and the F1 too.
The PlayStation Network downtime scheduled for later today has been cancelled. It’s unclear why the maintenance has been cancelled, but at least gamers can continue to enjoy multiplayer gaming and download the latest PlayStation Store content.
Critically acclaimed PS2 title Okami is heading to the PS3 this fall as an exclusive title, and will support the PlayStation Move. Okami HD brings Amaterasu’s epic tale to the PS3 with fully integrated HD graphics and widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio.
The PlayStation Network will be going offline this Wednesday for scheduled maintenance. The maintenance window will begin at 16:00 BST until 20:30 BST on June 20th 2012 but the reason for maintenance was not given. During the downtime, users will be unable to sign-in to the PSN, PlayStation Store and related services.
A new PlayStation 3 advert has appeared, promoting some of the best games the PS3 has to offer, it’s entertainment capabilities, as well reasons to buy the PS3. It also finally points out that online gaming on the PlayStation Network is free.
The PlayStation Network appears to be currently down, despite no scheduled downtime today. Sony are aware of the issue, however, and posted the following tweet on the official PlayStation account: “PSN and Stores are currently unavailable. We’ll let you know as soon as they’re back online.”
The Walking Dead made a big impression on PSN players this month, with the first episode of Telltale Games’ episode zombie series claiming the top spot in May. Mortal Kombat has taken the top stop in the PS Vita top sellers list.
