Sony has revealed the Anniversary Edition of Gran Turismo 6, which will be releasing in Winter 2013 alongside the Standard Edition of the game. Following the announcement of Gran Turismo 6 this week, the intro footage to the game has been released in amazing 60fps 1080p resolution. GT6 will features 1,200 cars and 71 track layouts and was confirmed for the PS3 at the Gran Turismo 15th Anniversary event.
Gran Turismo 6 has been announced for the PS3, and will be released Holiday 2013. The news was revealed by legendary GT creator Kazunori Yamauchi himself at the Silverstone event held to celebrate 15 years of the 70-million-selling series. GT6 for PlayStation 3 will see many enhancements, improvements and additions to the game. bringing new levels of authenticity to ‘the Real Driving Simulator’.
Sony will host a celebration of the 15th anniversary of Gran Turismo at the world-famous Silverstone Circuit (UK) on 15th May, 2013, and will be showing “what’s next” for the series. The event will feature Kazunori Yamauchi, who will “provide an update on the future of the Gran Turismo game,” according to the press release. Our understand is that Sony will be announcing Gran Turismo 6 at the event, which is rumoured to be a PS3 game.
At the China Joy event in Beijing this week, Sony held a Gran Turismo 5 event with series producer Kazunori Yamauchi. At the Q&A session, Yamauchi talked about Gran Turismo 6 and a PS Vita version of Gran Turismo.
