EyePet was launched in Europe last yer as a PlayStation Eye title, but with PlayStation Move on the way, the title will be revamped to use the motion controller for the North American release. EyePet’s creative director, Nicolas Doucet, talks about the evolution of the title and how it came to be, and with the introduction of the Move, how EyePet is more accurate and precise – see the video below.
A free update is available for EyePet allowing you to share your special video moments with other EyePet owners. You can also view and rate videos made by other players. All of these options can be found in the ‘EyePet Online’ option on the Main Menu. You will be prompted to download the update next time you boot up the game.
This cute little game lets you raise 3D virtual pets with the power of the PS3. Using PlayStation Eye, you can interact with your pet through gestures in real time. Existing in Augmented Reality, your EyePet will be fully aware of people in the room and will interact with you and your friends in real time — it will even recognize items in your room and attempt to play with them!
