How does the PS5 compare to the PS4 in size?

The official dimensions of the PS5 are much larger than any previous PlayStation console. The console is almost 40cm tall (excluding the base), which means it towers over all other consoles.

In comparison to the PS4 Pro, the PS5 will be a few inches taller and wider when stood vertically, as shown in the approximate comparison below. The PS5 Digital Edition will have the same height, but will have a smaller depth due to the missing disc drive.
