Gran Turismo on the PSP is doing wonders on the PSP. After many years of delay the game has been a huge success on Sony’s portable console. Polyphony Digital, the Japan-based studio behind Gran Turismo, has just released the latest sales numbers of the franchise. Released in October 2009, Gran Turismo PSP has shifted over 1.8 million units both on UMD and via digital download.
UK Video Store Update for Feb 8th 2010

This week on the UK PlayStation Store you can find a new collection of movies: Gangster Movies, created to celebrate the launch of all three Godfather movies on the store. The collection features many gangster titles including Scarface, American Gangster and more. Fairytale Fights Gets First DLC Pack This Week

The first downloadable pack for Fairytale Fights is due for release on February 11th 2010, and will be available to download for free. The DLC pack, ‘Treasure Pack 1’, contains 4 brand new playable characters and 3 challenging PvP arenas. The four characters are Bones, Princess Afia, Grandma Red (yes, you guessed it, Little Red’s grandma) and Puss in Boots.
First Details of L.A. Noire Revealed

In the March 2010 issue of Game Informer (available now), the first real details of L.A. Noire are revealed. Developed by Team Bondi (the developers behind The Getaway), L.A. Noire is an open-world action-adventure game set in the City of Angels in 1947. Unlike previous Rockstar efforts, L.A. Noire exists in a real city, painstakingly recreated for historical accuracy, but it plays nothing like GTA.
ModNation Racers Headed to PSP

ModNations Racers, the exclusive PS3 title is also heading to the PSP; allowing you the same creative tools to make your mod, kart and tracks while your on the move/on holiday/at your grandparents house. You will also be able to upload, download, remix and race creations by the PSP ModNation community.
Bayonetta Breaks 1 Million Sales Mark

In Sega’s financial report recently released, the sales figure for their latest action game, Bayonetta, was revealed. Platinum Games’ climax action game rung up 1,100,000 million units worldwide on both platforms the PS3 and Xbox 360 combined. It’s been exactly a month since the game was first released, making the title a success in such little time.
Heavy Rain Demo Available Now

The Heavy Rain demo is officially released on the PlayStation Store next week, on February 11th 2010, but you can get early access to it by completing the Four Days Challenge. The demo is 1754MB in size and can be downloaded by entering the four pieces of evidence over at the Precinct 52 website. The four pieces of evidence you need are detailed below. Once correctly entered, you will be presented with a PSN Code to download the demo.

SCEA: Arc is a “Code Name” for Motion Controller

Despite some solid evidence that the motion controller from Sony will be called “Arc”, SCEA’s Patrick Seybold has said PlayStation Arc is a “rumored code name” for the upcoming motion controller. In a tweet, Seybold said, “We haven’t announced the name of our Motion Controller. He referred to it as a rumored code name.”
