Lots of new content is available on the US PlayStation Store this week, with seven new PS4 games, six new PS3 games and six new PS Vita games. New games include Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Disney Infinity Revolution and The Hungry Horde.
Sony has released PS4 Firmware v2.01 to fix issues people have been having with Firmware 2.00, and in particular, the updated Rest Mode. The new patch is now available to download and improves “system stability during use of some features”.
Sony has revealed the new content coming to PlayStation Plus in North America today, and Europe tomorrow. Both North America and Europe have exactly the same line-up, with Binding of Isaac Rebirth (PS4), Frozen Synapse (PS3) and The Hungry Horde (PS Vita).
LittleBigPlanet 3 hits the PS4 and PS4 later this month, with three new characters joining Sackboy on his new adventure. Three new trailers have officially been released, introducing you to the three new playable characters: Toggle, Swoop and Oddsock.
FIFA 15 is still topping the UK games chart after six weeks, but it could be it’s last as Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare releases this week. Minecraft: PlayStation Edition has slipped to 3rd place after Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive takes 2nd.
If you are having issues with your PS4, you can access the Recovery Menu / Safe Mode to fix common issues, like restoring / reinstalling the Firmware, resetting the console to Factory Settings and more. Please take care when using the Safe Mode, as some of the options can destroy data on the console.
Philippe Cardon, head of PlayStation France, has said that the DRIVECLUB‘s ongoing server issues are nothing to do with server infrastructure or lack of, but related to the way the game was programmed. The coding in the game prevents multiple players from connecting at the same time, effectively creating a bottleneck and resulting in some players not being able to connect.
As we approach the PS4’s one year anniversary in mid-November, Sony has released their latest financial results. The report shows that Sony has sold 13.5 million PS4 consoles in just under a year globally, but the company has posted an overall loss.
Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Unity, which is releasing on November 11th 2014. The new trailer is quite an epic one, revealing a major plot twist in the game (spoiler alert). In the new trailer, called “Time Anomaly”, you see hero Arno in Paris when the time simulation collapses and ends up in an different era.
Even after weeks of sever updates and optimisations, Evolution Studios still cannot get every racer to connect to the DRIVECLUB servers. The latest update from the studio says that the “majority” of gamers can now get online, which means issues still exist.
