Sony has released the latest sales figures for the PS4 following the holiday season. Up to 3rd December 2017, 70.6 million PS4 were sold, but as of 31st December 2017, this figure now stands at 73.6 million units. During the holidays, which Sony categories as 20th November 2017 to 31st December 2017, 5.9 million PS4 consoles were sold.
Destiny 2 will be undergoing scheduled maintenance tomorrow, 3rd January 2018 for approximately five hours in the evening, affecting your evening gaming session for those in Europe. The maintenance window will be begin at 3:00pm GMT and will last until 8:00pm GMT.
Sony has revealed the line-up of new games coming to PlayStation Plus in January 2018. Along with the usual six games, Sony is also including a new bonus title for the PlayStation VR. In January, you can expect some great games like Batman: The Telltale Series (PS4) and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PS4).

After six years of operation, Guerrilla Games has announced that the multiplayer servers for Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 will be shutting down in March 2018. The single player content for both the games will be unaffected, but it does mean any online trophies for the game subsequently become unattainable.
Square Enix has announced that an open beta for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will be taking place in January 2018, before the launch of the full game. The beta will start on 12th January, and run until 21st January 2018 for both North America and Europe. The full game will then launch on 30th January 2018.
The penultimate Deal of Christmas is live on the PlayStation Store, saving you 42% on the standard edition of Horizon Zero Dawn. The game has been dropped to £19.99, from the usual price of £34.99. The discount is only available until 2pm GMT on 22nd December 2017.
The European PlayStation Store has received a massive update this week to keep you entertained over the Christmas period. There are over 25 new PS4 games and a couple of new PS3 and PS Vita games on the store this week, including new VR titles Shooty Fruity and Manifest 99; and Battlefield Anniversary Bundle (PS4).

A new patch for The Sims 4 on the PS4 is now available to download. This patch, coming a month after the game was first released, fixes a number of bugs and issues affecting the game. One of the more serious issues affecting the game was corrupted saves or the game not saving at all – luckily, this patch seems to implement a fix.
