Naughty Dog Disables Some Twitter Functionality in Uncharted 2

If you don’t already know, Naughty Dog’s new title Uncharted 2: Among Thieves supports the micro-blogging network Twitter. Completing chapters, and playing multiplayer games posts ‘tweets’ to your Twitter account, allow your friends to follow your activity within the game. Some reviewers have had early access to the game and selected the option to update their Twitter accounts as they completed each chapter of the game. This has resulted in some Twitter feeds being updated multiple times an hour.

Speaking with Joystiq in Japan last week, Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital, admitted that development of Gran Turismo 6 will not be as maddeningly long as Gran Turismo 5’s. Yamauchi said :”GT5 is a title that was pretty much remade from scratch, but because we did that, the next version is actually going to be faster — the time period it’s going to be released.”

No Modern Warfare 2 Demo Before Launch

Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward’s director of communications and community manager, has confirmed that the studio has no plans to release a demo of Modern Warfare 2 prior to the game’s launch on November 10th. Posting on his Twitter, Bowling revealed that the team are far too busy adding the final spit and polish to the retail version of the hotly anticipated shooter to ship a demo before release.

PSPgo to Have 16,000 Downloadable Items At Launch

The PSPgo launches later this week and brings with it a UMD-less future. To aid in the launch of the new PSP model, Sony has uploaded 16,000 downloadable its, from games and movies to TV shows (region dependent). However, not all of this is new content. The PSPgo Converter allows you to use accessories like the Go!Camera, GPS device and other devices. The converter costs $20 and makes the PSPgo less portable due to its large size.
