At Sony’s E3 Press Conference, Jack Tretton officially announced PlayStation Plus, the premium subscription service for the PlayStation Network. The service will build on top of the existing free service, offering gamers exclusive content, early access to demos, automatic download of demos and game related content and more.

FirstPlay Episode 11 Details

Episode 11 of FirstPlay hits the PlayStation Store tomorrow. The best new about the new episode is subscribers will be able to download a exclusive Backbreaker demo, the new American Football title from NaturalMotion. The demo will be available exclusively with FirstPlay for a limited time. The episode also features HD reviews of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and International Cricket 2010.
E3 2010: Driver: San Francisco Trailer

Ubisoft has finally announced the long-awaited reboot of the popular Driver series, Driver: San Francisco, and released the first trailer (see below). Developed by Ubisoft Reflections under the direction of the original titles creators, the game promises to revitalize the classic free-roaming franchise to the current generation with a groundbreaking new gameplay feature called “shift”.
E3 2010: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam DLC Announced

In EA’s E3 2010 Press Conference, the company announced a new DLC pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Gamers will be heading to the harsh Vietnamese jungle this Winter with four new maps playable in classic Battlefield modes including Conquest and Rush.
E3 2010: PlayStation Store Update

Sony will be publishing daily PlayStation Store updates through E3 this week, until Thursday 17th. You can already find the NCAA Football 11 PS3 Demo from Electronic Arts in the dedicated E3 2010 category under New Releases. Sony will still be updating the store as usual later today, including the release of Final Fantasy IX.

E3 2010: Metal Gear Solid Rising Trailer

The E3 trailer of Metal Gear Solid Rising has been released by Kojima Productions. The title was announced exactly a year ago at Microsoft’s E3 2009 Press Conference. Check out the video below which shows the first gameplay footage of the game as well as displayed the game’s primary gameplay mechanic where the player can literally ‘cut anything’. Raiden was shown cutting enemies, walls, vehicles and watermelons.
DC Universe Online Debut Trailer

For those of you that haven’t seen it already, check out the brand spanking new DC Universe Online trailer. Developed by Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), DC Universe Online is a MMORPG set in the DC Universe. SOE is working to make DC Universe Online more interactive than standard MMORPGs, while trying to keep key elements of RPGs, which include a leveling system, raid instances, endgame progression and inventories.

E3 2010: Sony to Reveal New Hardware

The US PlayStation Website suggests that new hardware will be revealed at E3 this week. The website states, “The E3 expo is coming! Meet us here to find out what awesome PlayStation games and hardware are being revealed.” In addition, CVG has learned that Sony is set to reveal two new PS3 SKUs this week which will come bundled with the Move motion controller.
