Episode 27 of FirstPlay hits the store this week and you find even more free Top Gun stuff for PlayStation Home. Episode 27 also includes the first free dynamic theme – its about time! This weeks episode features a full HD review of Enslaved: Odyssey To The West and Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow.
If you missed the EuroGamer Expo over the weekend you missed an early chance to try out Killzone 3 using the PlayStation move controller. But don’t worry, Sony have released a little video of how the controller and game work together in defeating the Helghast army.
It is a year since the minis category of PlayStation Store launched and brought a new dimension to gaming on PlayStation. Bite-sized, on-the-go appeal together with quick download times meant it had never been easier or cheaper to lay your hands on new PSP games.
A new major patch to MAG is now available to download (just boot up your game to update it). MAG patch v2.0 comes with PlayStation Move support, an increased level cap, the revamped skill tree, the new economy system, and the highly-demanded clan deploy feature to just name a few of the features.
Sony has expanded the “Greatest Hits” library on the PlayStation 3 this week, adding 7 new titles to the list. There are now over 40 Greatest Hits titles available, which can be found at retailers in U.S. and Canada for only $29.99 (MSRP). New additions to the library include MAG, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift and TEKKEN 6.
Here in the UK, the LittleBigPlanet 2 online beta has already started and some amazing user-created levels are popping up around the web. Media Molecule as compiled a short list of their favorite levels for you to enjoy. LittleBigPlanet 2’s level creator is far more advanced that the first game, and you can see just how good it is from the level videos below.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has sold over 3.8 million copies worldwide since release, has won over 50 Game of the Year awards, and has received 39 perfect review scores. So it’s no surprise that a Game of the Year edition of game will be coming out soon. The updated edition will come with over $35 worth of bonus content, including 3 DLC packs, the 4 Uncharted: Eye of Indra motion comics and more.
FirstPlay Episode 26 is available to download tomorrow, and comes with two downloadable bits of content for you to enjoy – A Top Gun helmet for PlayStation Home and another chance to download the exclusive Joe Danger PSN avatar. You can also find two huge reviews, with in-depth HD verdicts on FIFA 11 and F1 2010.
The Eurogamer Expo is at Earls Court in London this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (1st to 3rd October) and consists of a huge show floor where you can play the likes of Gran Turismo 5, inFAMOUS 2, Killzone 3 and more, as well as a special auditorium where top game developers like Media Molecule and Guerrilla Games will be presenting their games and taking questions from the public.
Yesterday we revealed that PlayStation Plus subscribers in North America will get exclusive access to the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood beta trial. The beta will also be available to European PlayStation Plus subscribers. PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download the beta from the PlayStation Store on September 27th 2010, and will be exclusive for one week.
