After the PlayStation 3 was hacked to run custom firmware and unsigned application, Sony decided to sue George Hotz, the person responsible for identifying the hack and distributing it on the Internet. The case has now been closed as Sony and Hotz have reached a settlement decision. A joint statement from both SCEA and Hotz can be found below detailing their decision.
The Resistance 3 multiplayer demo is coming exclusively to PlayStation Plus. If you’ve checked out the our previous coverage, you will see that the R3 multiplayer demo will be accessible to SOCOM: Special Forces (aka SOCOM 4) purchasers in North America.
David Jaffe, the co-director and co-lead designer of the new Twisted Metal for PS3, has revealed that the game’s launch date. The game was surprise announcement at last year’s E3 conference in Los Angeles. The game will officially hit stores on October 4th 2011, but until then, check out the new trailer below.

Back in February Guerrilla Games revealed that they were working on a brand-new DLC Pack for Killzone 3 called Steel Rain. Today, the developers announced that the pack is finished and slated for a PlayStation Store release on Tuesday, April 12. Steel Rain consists of two explosive new multiplayer maps inspired by locations from the single player campaign.
FirstPlay Episode 52 goes on sale this week, marking the 1st anniversary since the launch of the interactive magazine. DC Universe Online had added another free batch of new downloadable content that will introduce you to former Gotham City District Attorney-turned crime boss Harvey Dent (aka “Two-Face”) in the sinister new installment. Also included in this update is the final part to the Batcave raid where you level 30 players will be face-to-face with the caped crusader.
