Naughty Dog are releasing a prequel to the original Uncharted, as a motion comic. The announce was made during a live chat on the PlayStation website by Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog, “We have an exclusive announcement! We’re releasing a prequel story to Uncharted 1 as a motion comic voiced by your favorite actors from the two games. Stay tuned for more info.”
This week on the PlayStation Store, a number of new downloadable games are available in both Europe and the US, including .detuned and Mushroom Wars. Both stores are also having price promotions on several titles so be sure to check them out. New add-on content this week includes a new Buzz! Quiz TV game pack, new High Velocity Bowling packs and new tracks for Guitar Hero 5 and Rock Band. If you are looking for more dynamic themes, the European store has three new themes available for purchase.
The Ratchet & Clank: Gadgetron HQ space will be launching into PlayStation Home later today. The game space will feature three mini-games, like the massive Skunk Works’ tower defense game. The space will be jam-packed with things to do, rewards to win, virtual items to collect (like a full-on Ratchet outfit), and sheep to wrangle.
Mushroom Wars, a Real Time Strategy game, will be available to purchase from the PlayStation Store tomorrow for €9.99 / £7.99. Mushroom Wars is a fast-paced and accessible RTS, with a quaint, anime-inspired visual style, where you send your cute armies into battle, upgrade your mushroom bases, improve your weaponry and fight skirmishes in close-quarter maps.
VidZone has bagged another exclusive video – the DJ / Producer Tiësto. The Dutch dance super heavyweight is exclusive in all VidZone Territories, apart from the UK and Ireland. The video will be available very shortly after in all territories, though. The video is now available to view and the single is out on November 23rd 2009.
The Uncharted 2 demo has now come to a end, after two weeks as a public demo and two further weeks as a private demo for those who pre-ordered the game. The full game launches tomorrow in North America and later this week in Europe. If you didn’t get a chance to play the demo you will get another chance once the game launches.

Over the next 10 weeks, games in the UK will be bombarded with advertising for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Sony will be sponsoring some great TV, which will feature ‘Uncharted 2: Among Thieves’ branding and footage on all Sky One & Two Movies, including Mission Impossible 2, Hunt for Red October and Beverly Hills Cop. Along with this sponsorship, the TV ad will also be running, including great spots in both the England World Cup Qualifier against Belarus on the Oct 14th and the UEFA Champions League match between Chelsea and Athletico Madrid the following week.
