Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today announced that the cumulative sales of the PlayStation 3 has reached a milestone of 50 million units worldwide, as of March 29, 2011. SCE also announced that PlayStation Move sales surpassed 8 million units worldwide as of April 3, demonstrating continued growth and momentum of the PS3 platform.
Harry Potter is back to his wizardly ways in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1, available in HD on the PlayStation Store this week. Today, Sony revealed the revealed the packshots for the upcoming White Knight Chronicles II for PS3 and White Knight Chronicles: Origins for PSP. Sony also confirmed that White Knight Chronicles II will include the original White Knight Chronicles on the same Blu-ray disc.
After the PlayStation 3 was hacked to run custom firmware and unsigned application, Sony decided to sue George Hotz, the person responsible for identifying the hack and distributing it on the Internet. The case has now been closed as Sony and Hotz have reached a settlement decision. A joint statement from both SCEA and Hotz can be found below detailing their decision.

David Jaffe, the co-director and co-lead designer of the new Twisted Metal for PS3, has revealed that the game’s launch date. The game was surprise announcement at last year’s E3 conference in Los Angeles. The game will officially hit stores on October 4th 2011, but until then, check out the new trailer below.
