Another firmware update for the PS Portal has been released – the second update this month. PS Portal Firmware v6.0.1 is a minor update and isn’t required to Remote Play or access streaming games. According to the release notes, this is a stability update.
The last major update to the PS Portal, Firmware 6.0.0, introduced the ability to stream games from your PS5 Library. Streaming was previously limited to just games available in the PlayStation Plus Games Catalog. However, a PlayStation Plus Premium or Deluxe subscription is required to access any of the streaming services.
You can update your PlayStation Portal by going to [Settings] > [System] > [System Software] > [Update System Software].
