Guerrilla Games have announced that Horizon Forbidden West has gone Gold. This means that development on the game has completed, and the game is ready to be printed and shipped, in time for release on 18 February 2022.
This is good news for fans of the game, as it means there will be no further delays to the game. Horizon Forbidden West was originally scheduled to release in late 2021, but was delayed in August 2021 to February 2022.
The game will be releasing on the PS5 and PS4 on 18th February 2022, and those who purchase the game on the PS4 will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free. Guerilla Games also released the first footage of the game running on the PS4 Pro, but in the form of short clips rather than a full trailer.
