Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Revealed

Treyarch have unveiled the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which is due to release on 13th November 2020. In addition, a multiplayer beta has been announced to kick off on 8th October on PS4, and concluding on 19th October.

Those that pre-order the game on PS4 will get early access to the multiplayer beta from 8th October, and later opens up to other platforms on 15th October.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will feature cross-gen progression and cross-platform multiplayer, uniting all platforms into a single shared experience.

In terms of multiplayer modes, there are plenty to enjoy. In addition to the classic game modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination and Search and Destroy, you will also find:

In additions to the new modes, the game also improves some of the core gameplay elements. For example, a new weapon sound engine brings further understanding of enemy and friendly gunfire, giving players a sense of what is being fired at them and where it came from through three-dimensional and directional sound.

New to Black Ops, Field Upgrades are in-game items that either help your squad or hinder your enemies, earned solely on time in-game with a cooldown that lasts after death.

Scorestreaks make a return with several significant changes. In this new system, earned score is kept through death, giving all players a chance at earning these visceral and fun tools that can turn the tide of battle.
