Sony has revealed new sales figures for the PS4, which sold over 6.2 million units over the holiday season. As of 1st January 2017, the PS4 has sold over 53 million units worldwide. As for games, over 50 million copies, both digital and physical, have been sold for the system worldwide.
One of the strongest exclusive titles for the PS4, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, sold over 8.7 million units as of 21st December 2016.
Sony didn’t reveal the split between the three different PS4 models (original vs slim vs pro), so it’s difficult to decipher which model sold the best. Different models are available in different regions around the world, with some countries only stocking the original PS4 model.
