PS4 Pro Launches Today

The PS4 Pro officially launches to day across North America, Europe, South Africa, Australasia and the Middle East. The new console offers 4K quality visuals, with vibrant, lifelike colours supported by HDR technology (as with all PS4 consoles), smoother performance and faster frame rates. It’s not a replacement for the existing PS4 console, but an enhanced version.

More than 40 titles have already been patched to support 4K graphics, and more games will get support before the end of the year. Additionally, a host of brand new games such as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare also have PS4 Pro support built in so you can enjoy the benefits of PS4 Pro out of the box.

And there is more to come. Looking ahead, all first-party titles launching in or after 2017 will support PS4 Pro, while updates to Netflix and YouTube will add support for best-in-class 4K video streaming. It’s also worth noting that the console does not have a UHD Blu-ray drive, so 4K Blu-rays are NOT supported.
