Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Delayed by Two Weeks

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has suffered a second delay, while productions wraps up on the game. Naught Dog confirms that the game is on track to go gold, but the delay is to allow extra manufacturing time to meet global demand for the game. As a result, the game will now be launching on 10th May 2016, instead of 29th April 2016.

A statement on the PlayStation.Blog reads:

As you know, Naughty Dog is wrapping up production on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End with the game on track to go gold and into production later this month. In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time.

Therefore, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has a new worldwide release date of 10th May 2016.

We know this news might be disappointing, and we are sorry to have to make you wait a little longer to play Naughty Dog’s latest. The good news is that the game is phenomenal — we are fully confident that it will be worth the wait and the team at Naughty Dog is eager as ever for you to experience Nathan Drake’s final adventure.

While a delay is always disappointing, gamers will be able to take part in the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Open Weekend from 5.00pm GMT on 4th March 2016, until 7.59am GMT on 7th March 2016.

This is the second delay the game has suffered – it was originally scheduled to be released on the PS4 back in 2015.
