Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed (via twitter) that Sony are working on a official app to bring PS4 Remote Play functionality to the PC and Mac. Although a release date has not be revealed, this is good news for gamers with only one TV in the household.
The Xbox One already supports gaming via a PC, although Sony is actually a step ahead with remote play functionality already supported in a range of devices, including the PS Vita, PlayStation TV, and Sony Mobiles and Table devices.
Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac. 😀
