To celebrate PlayStation’s 20th Anniversary, Sony has announced a limited edition PS4 console to mark the occasion. The PS4 Anniversary Edition will be limited to just 12,300 units worldwide, and will come in the same ‘Original Grey’ finish as the original PlayStation, packaged in a commemorative box and priced at €499.
Due to the limited nature of the console, the limited edition won’t be sold via traditional retail channels in the SCEE region. More information on how you can get your hands on this limited console will be released shortly.
Why only 12,300 units – it’s because the original PlayStation was first launched in Japan on December 3rd 1994 (12-3). The package will include:
- Original Grey PS4 Console (500 GB)
- Original Grey DualShock 4 Controller
- Original Grey PlayStation Camera
- Original Grey Vertical Stand
