A promotional video from Sony, geared towards third-party manufacturers, has revealed that the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita has collectively sold more than 100 million units to date. At last count, the PS4 has sold around 7 million units since it launched last November, while the PS3 has sold more than 80 million units.
The video is obviously used to convince manufactures to develop third-party and officially licences peripherals for the PlayStation, and shows that Sony has a vibrant and large eco-system. Sony Japan’s YouTube account describes the video as a “Introduction video of PlayStation® Official Licensing Program for corporates.”
